Recovered in good condition. Mark is located in Plantation Yacht Harbor Marina in Founders Park, in the northwest corner of a concrete pad just east of the eastern edge of the yacht basin drive. To reach is accurate although the Bar B Q Pit restaurant no longer exists. Handheld GPS coordinates for the bench mark are 24 57 52.3(N) 080 34 6.1(W).Narrative and photographs
This station is set into a concrete pad near the marina at Founders Park in Islamorada—just about 150 feet south-southwest of 872 3776 TIDAL 1. It is in good condition and was very easy to locate using the description, even though the Bar B Q Pit restaurant is no longer here. There should be at least one more tidal disk in this area, and possibly a few more. Next time, we will be better prepared and will try to find them all!
