Narrative and photographs
Continuing my morning stroll along the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard, I came across this marker in the sidewalk just outside of a Tex-Mex restaurant and a dispensary. (Three guesses why I had to take the wide area photo for my colleague Eric.) The disk is in good condition with clear stamping.
Update (28 December 2024): It’s true that nothing in Vegas sits still even for a moment. In viewing the Google Street View taken just seven months after my visit, I can see that both the restaurant and dispensary have been completely removed from the landscape. Fortunately it appears that the benchmark is still in place.
