Official MaineDOT Description:
The station is located along Rte 3 at the corner of Nickerson Way, in Bar Harbor. The station is a disk stamped---12487-31 2011---set in concrete side walk. IT IS: 60.0' E of corner of traffic island; 20.4' N of CL; 23.6' W of corner of chain link fence. BK#376
This recently monumented station is in excellent condition and was located exactly as described. It is set into the sidewalk just south of the Kids' Corner daycare on Route 3 (Mt. Desert Street). It was a short walk just around the corner from our hotel—but not necessarily an easy walk, as I'd just hurt my knees in a fall after recovering POR 1944!
